Withdrawn: “Global Slot Variable RTP Downgrade & Studio Transparency Audit”

What it was

A 2026 report and dataset built from the CasinoHostNews game catalogue that graded individual game studios on how they list RTP variants.

Why it was withdrawn

  • The studio-level grades rested on very small samples. For most studios the catalogue held fewer than 20 releases, and for some only two, so the grades did not measure the studios themselves.
  • Wording such as “independent audit” and “certified” overstated the work. The data came from our own catalogue and was neither independently audited nor certified.
  • The report included bankroll-simulation claims that we could not support.

What we changed

  • The report page, its CSV and JSON datasets and the accompanying press materials were removed from this site. The old address now redirects to this page.
  • Catalogue articles that used unsupported “certified” wording are being corrected to describe figures as provider-listed.

Will it be reissued?

It will not be reissued in this form. Any future analysis of this kind would disclose its sample sizes, would not grade individual studios from small samples and would not be described as an audit. Anyone who obtained a copy while it was available should not rely on it.
